Estate Spoilers
« on: 13 January 2011, 19:10:03 »

Hi Guys,
Happy new year to all. I have seen estate rear spoilers around but pre 1999, will these fit a 2001 model, are they universal, are the tailgates the same on all models?
         Cheers,
               Ray
p.s. changed the plugs, thermostat and heater control valve on my V6, thanks for the tutorials. Saved a lot of time.

the bump strips are different on pre, but i believe the actual bootlid is the same right through on the estate so i think the spoiler would fit, especially if its just bonded on

Believe they are all the same, got one here I need to get sprayed and fitted, has four fixings and sikoflex on it. If you get an Irmscher one you'll also need to run the brake light wire through as well.

Had to replace the tailgate on mine last year. One part number fits all. :y

Only actually 11 parts difference between pre and post facelift estate back ends:
1. Bumper.
2. Crash bar.
3. Crash bar foam pad.
4. + 5. Rear quarter panels.
6. + 7. Rear quarter trim.
8. + 9. Rear quarter trim supports.
10. + 11. Tail lights.

My Irmscher tailgate spoiler doesn't have third brake light though. :-/

Some are glued on and very difficult to remove and I have seen some bolted on.

My Irmscher Estate Spoiler had to be bolted on (2  - 1at each end)

Came off a F/L and onto my P/FL
