But we have got to the time when the cost of repair so often outweighs the cars worth, apart from parts or scrap :'( :'(

It has been about 7 years since the last were built, so I'm afraid we will see a lot more heading for the scrapyard.  The only chance they have is if a multi-million pound Omega collecter was to buy everyone of them up as they become available, but alas that is just not going to happen!! ::) ::) :'(

on ebay there are far to many omega's being broken up that look repairable does anyone agree

While it may seam sad that there are, on the up side it does help such people as us here on OOF to keep their cars on the road, as some of us here will keep fighting tooth and nail to keep their personal Omega alive and going till it's impossible.
I myself am having to get rid of one of my Omega's, but will try to cling onto the Mega Mig as I love the thing.  One of the many rare, as in a real car should be, RWD cars on the road today  ::)  ;)  :y

Tell me about it but if you like the car then keeping it going.
I bought my tractor for £750 and have spent £1200ish fixing all the faults. ;)

I really hate it when people scrap the 3.0s and put the engines into mobile toilets.

Yes I have abused people who do this!

The scrapping of a RWD vehicle to provide bits for a WWD vehicle is evil!

If it keeps a Manta on the road OK, but if it is to chav up a Vectra - crush the Vectra before they can start >:( >:(

Do you realise how difficult to buy a car if you are not rich and are allergic to WWD cars and little engines.

Had a trip to my fav scrapyard last weekend, the miggy population had grown significantly. Sad to see several cars with limited damage which had been scrapped, even a nice elite. What makes it worse is the way they are treated when parts are taken from them.
I have two, a 2.6 which I bought in the summer - close to mint and my old 2.5 which spends more time in bits than on the road! SWMBO (not this time) wants me to get rid of the old girl - it's not going to happen! Cost £7800 10 years ago, fell in love as soon as I saw her and still a magic drive, when she is running!  :y
Most of my friends consider me to be a bit sad and derranged, what do i care, I have two beautiful miggys. :D
