The bumpers look like they belong on a Saab 99  :)

I'm almost ashamed that was attached to my A Frame ;) ;D ;D

This may not end up a Skover either from the conversation Venom and I had... It may end up as a Skauxhall ;D ;D

Easy does it! Don't want too much weight overhanging that rear axle or it'll be a bit of a Skoditchfinder. :o

I'm afraid it will be a Skover as the transaxle wont take the torque of the Vauxhall lump  :(

it was auto grass racing had a few wins against mk1/mk2/escorts  as they where good off the line with the engine over the drive wheels.

I've looked at the flywheels.

The Rover flywheel (Left) is a similar size, but uses a 200mm friction plate and the Skoda is a 190mm plus the ring gear is in the wrong place. So I looked at mounting the Skoda flywheel to the crank. Apart from more mounting bolts, the centre bore is 35mm for Skoda and 34mm on Rover.

So to get the flywheel sat central, I got a brass sleeve made, pressed in and had it turned out to 34mm

This allowed me to make up a 34mm mandrel and bolt the 2 flywheels concentrically back to back and have look at the mounting bolts.
2 holes nearly line up, and the 5 remaining (4 bolts and 1 dowel hole) can be drilled into the Skoda flywheel. The 2 that nearly line up will be slotted the 3mm so I now have the required 7 holes for the Rover crank  :y

Well did quite good today and got the interior striped out and so far can only find a quite a big bit to weld up

And this is it but looks like some time ago it's had a bit done here before

And here

Without poking around to much the rest seems solid enough.

Looks like the rear screen rubber needs replacing as it's leaking.
