Drive Vauxhall Service Offer
« on: 05 February 2011, 09:09:17 »

Thought I would give it a try - if you commit to your Drive VX for servicing for 3 years (have done it for Signum not Omega) and pay monthly you get a range of benefits - MOTs at £30, free MOT insurance, 12.5% discount on parts and labour for work needed over and above service cost, courtesy car, valet and others. At low interest rates not too bothered about them having my money in their account - you can cancel agreement at anytime.

Might be worth checking out on new VX - I have opted for 4th,5th and 6th annual services - £23 a month.

Let a dealer near my car?    Not for me thanks.

Interesting approach from them though, might be of use to some, but I'd be concerned what else they try to stitch us for while the car is in there.

Phone rings "hello sir your brake discs are getting low, would you like us to replace them while the car is here?"
of course they're getting low, all brake discs are "getting low" they are a consumable item and get progressively "lower" as they ware. Drive are a differant bread of dealer afaict, but even so, never trust a dealer service dept, ever!

When I bought the Panda for SWMBO I took out an inclusive service plan (it actually worked out less overall than the first three services :-?) and I have to say that I was highly impressed when it went in last June for the first service... Ready on time, no extras to pay for, valeted... Seems to be good! They even added the screenwash which IME is normally a chargeable item :y :y
