Quentin Wilson was on BBC news this a.m. about the no to fuel duty campaign. I think it makes sense if the government of the day stabilises the price of fuel and takes any extra money needed elsewhere.

Good on the Ozzies by the way. They are one off  taxing anyone earning more than 50k to pay for flood damage costs. (if you live in a flood affected area you don't pay the tax) What an innovative idea!!

I think another fuel protest is long overdue .... 60-70% tax on a litre of fuel is just robbery and taking the pi**   >:(

Considering the next duty rise has been stopped already, I think it is likely that there won't be a heavy rise on fuel in the budget...

IMO it is best to wait and see what happens rather than listen to all the hype and BS that emerges around budget time...

I agree completely - for all we know they could lower it (unlikely lol).

Considering all the shouts of fuel costs that are happening, I wouldn't fully rule out reducing fuel tax...

This is getting close to a re-run of the fuel duty poll a couple of weeks back ::)

FWIW, I can't see there being a reduction... They need the duty... not going to repeat the previous thread and comments... I can see the introduction of the fuel stabiliser though ;) :y

Perhaps there should be consideration given to a Nationally set fuel price like some European countries do :-/

A fuel duty cut will only be possible if we are close to an election and the polls dont look good. ;)

I have only had my Omega a couple of weeks, they are a little on the juicy side aren't they  :) I Took my daughter to Reading Uni yesterday from Hastings, stuck 60 quids worth in and came back with a quarter of a tank left which I thought was pretty good, first time I've been on a bit of a run with it as well, certainly a nice car on long journeys.
