theres a lot of retro fitted hid's on cars around where i live, most of the time there pointed too high as well!   some are so bright you would think they would get pulled the first time they passed the police!

"why are headlights so god damn bright these days??"

Becuase the overwhelming majority of people don't understand how the human eye works in low light levels (night vision) and how vulnerable that is to even brief glimpses of oncoming bright lights.

So people think they need to turn night into day in order to be safe driving at night; an arms-race of ever-brighter lights ensues, and everybody ends up worse off.

I notice new "MINI"s are so bright they've gone past red and into pinky purple  Or maybe that's just the permanent damage they're doing to my retinas..

Or perhaps the plastic is ageing/fading rather fast.
