Tyre size info

Hi all. I have 225/55/16 but as I am away from car at the moment does anyone know the other bits like 95 or 99 and V or W speed rating please.

Cars is 2003 2.6 CDX

Speed rating V, W is just a higher speed rating.  Can use either.

Fairly certain that Vx state Z or W for V6.

If you put a lower speed rating on, irrespective of how you drive, your insurance is invalid, as you are replacing a part with a lower specification part.

225/55/16 95W XL here, rated to 775kgs each. Not sure what the suspension would say about 3100kgs gross weight though :P

The Rainsport's on mine are rated W, think most of the premium tyres come with the high speed rating anyway.

Speed rating V is 149mph, iirc the 3.2 is the only Omega that reaches 149mph as standard.

"W" rated for the omega and lets not forget that the load/speed index on a tyre does not just mean how fast the tyre can by driven at

all to do with how much load it can carry at various speeds, how much torque you can put through the tyre
