damn good car
« on: 16 March 2011, 21:19:30 »

Blimey!! advertised my old omega estate today at 9 olcock,]nowt wrong with it and infact i still think its better to drive than the new one!! :o
but at 3 oclock got an offer of a grand!!! guy wants it to take back to uk on april the 6th, he has looked it over test driven it and left a deposit, loves it!! told him he cant have it till march 28th and he is quite happy with that BUT!!!
1, should i remove my poly donut bushes and replace them with standard rubber as i have them in stock here?then can put the poly bushes on the new one
2, do i remove my irmscher rear springs and replace with the original?and fit to the new one!
3, he dont particularly want the xenon headlamps on it so will change them but not sure if they will fit the facelift?
4 the Irmscher steering wheel , he has seen the original wheel and dont care if i remove it, but will it fit the facelift with steering wheel radio controls(which i dont like keep bashing them accidently(big hands and fingers) so could do without them!!
to be honest the old bus owes me nothing!! bought it for 650 6 years ago, pratt in a peugot hit me up the bum in bad weather 3 years ago and the insurance company paid me out 700, and i have sold it for a grand, now thats a good deal :y
, but the car is mechanicaly perfect drives lovely, but has one bad wheelarch which is being done tomorrow, so he is happy with it,
I shall miss it !!! :(

sounds like you've made a mint on that lol
Guy must REALLY want it.

I would say if its something he would not notice, and that does not affect the drive, or leave it in a state which is in less repair than it was when he saw it...AND the stuff is worth more to you than it is  to him....

then yes to all of the bits that will fit the FL mig.

but thats just me

No matter how good that new one is, it will never, in your mind, be as good as the old one ;)

I'm exactly the same with my beloved MV6  :-[

LOL long way to come and collect them though!!! think im definetly going to remove the parts, know its twice as much work but if it makes the new one drive as good as the old one it will be worth the time spent doing it!! :y
