Anyone south of 30 probably couldn't afford to insure one, so yes, it's an old man's car, but only by default.

Cheeky sod - I am 27, and I've had Omegas for the last 6 years  ;D ;D ;D

She clearly has not seen what they can do in the right hands.

But hey, chromosone error, what do you expect!

I guess she considers a Corsa or something like that a mans car  ;D ;D ;D

As I'm aged 59, I suppose my Desmond is an old man's car. :y

not far from true tho James, only a few of us are lucky enough to get insurance low enough on these

Yes and no imo. If I was in my 20,s and had a reasonable amount of money to spend on a car, an Omega wouldnt even be on the list tbh, but having said that they are capable of a fair turn of speed all things considered.

Mine definitely is - it only has two pedals, which automatically makes it an old man's car ;)

When i bought mine i was looking for a big engined car with enough space for five big rubgy lads and the kit bags as i always seemed to drive to the away games and the 2.6cdx done the job i wanted and i was only 20 when i bought it and it was a very very good car but now i have more things to consider ie wife and kid so it went and along came the tdci mondeo

I don't think anyone can really deny they have the appearance of an old man's car nowadays.  I'm 22 and I'm certainly not going to pretend it's the best car on the road.

I just bought mine as a run around and for your money, you'd struggle to get much more.

But I certainly don't expect to get any compliments on its looks or power.  Most things with decent power will beat them because they are simply huge cars and made for cruising, but are very good at it.

Any car can be fun/fast, it depends how fast you drive it  ;)

Dont want to knock your sentiments but its the same car that trafpol used for quite some time and in the correct hands, is no slouch.  Times move on, obviously, but I know of instances when this grandad car swallowed the assorted front wheel drive GTi's of the era for breakfast.....   ;)

You summed it up in your last line....

Bet it can still hustle on nowadays, if driven correctly like it should be....   :P   :)

Eddi, no disrespect mate, but the V6's are in a different league to the desmonds, one of which you appear to own.
My 3.0 Elite has elicited many compliments on it's appearance, and only a few of them had their arms forced up behind their backs when they gave them.... 8-)
