140K ............ not out
« on: 28 March 2011, 21:15:17 »

My Mig has just crossed the 140K miles today. Not bad going, a few things have gone wrong but a fair number of them due to owner error  ;D

And its still going well, if I can sort the lambda prob should be good for another 60K at least.

nice one TB. Never heard of that before....

An oxygen sensor, or lambda sensor, is an electronic device that measures the proportion of oxygen (O2) in the gas or liquid being analyzed.

does every car have this?

Well done, it wasn't that long ago when a car getting near 100K was ready for the scapyard.

all cars need a set ratio of fuel to air, even a carb'd car, it's just that instead of trusting to luck & an ear with a carb, lambdas talk back to the engine's ECU to alter the ratio as you drive.

Headlight washers wash when you have your lights on & wash your windscreen.
