spark plugs
« on: 31 March 2011, 14:49:58 »

I decided to start my TDM that's been stood idle in my garage for months  :-[. Had a go at starting it yesterday but didn't want to play. Changed the plugs, turned the fuel tap on  ::) and it started.  :y

I bought the plugs from the same place as the last pair and I watched her look up the plug number, but they're a number out from the set that've just come out. I've just put NGK DPR8EA-9 in but just removed DPR9EA-9

What, in the real world, is the difference between the two plugs?

I can't ride the bike as it isn't road legal.

Thanks. So it's just a change of 'heat rating' by one 'colder' ......

Shouldn't make too much difference but if it starts fouling the plugs it'll be because they're too cold. :y

Kevin

if only I rode it far enough for the plugs to get the chance to foul up.  :-[
I really must make more effort to ride it, insurance starts today & MOT is booked for 4 o'clock  :y
