Re fitting party, I am sure front end kit could be fitted in a weekend, and being the hardest part would be best use of party time.

Tank fitting would be the easier job I suppose? So could be done at home the following weekend.

Main thing is to get the injectors fitted to the vaporiser and inlet sealed, then the car can be driven (although its better to plum the water works as well while its apart) and all else fitted when time allows. Personally I had the entire loom cable tied up in the engine bay waiting completion for a fortnight.  ::)  ;D
I was kind of thinking the same myself last night - the rear end should doable for DIYers, if they knew where to drill (this is my problem currently).  When I do the Elite, I was thinking of making a 'template' and/or measurements for the tank mounting (for 80l tanks - 100l would have to sit forward by 70mm) and the holes for the pipes.  Unless somebody already knows where to drill?
Actually, a bit more than 70mm, as the widest point of tank is higher, and the back seats slope....

Actually it wouldn't.... The 360mm dia tanks can't really be fitted flush against the seats, IIRC, because of the shape of the floor. My 400mm dia tank sits pretty much against the seat back (bar a Rizzla or 2) with the frame bolted to the floor as far back as the shape of the floor pan allows.

I was thinking that a template might be a good idea... Looks like there are going to be quite a few conversions in the not too distant future ::)

Mine is bolted through the floor as I didn't want to crush the chassis rails.

It is secure!

Yes there are thingies under the nuts

I'd need to check, but I doubt I'd get much weed between my rizzlas either ;D

In that case yours is closer to the seats than Kevin's ;) ;)

The floor pan has some "Lumps" in it towards the seat backs and I'm fairly sure my frame sat against them perfectly, like Kevin's :-/ :-/

I think GayBoy drilled mine, I couldn't watch, and I vaguely recall a discussion about how far back I wanted it...  ...but then Mr Wood had an awful lot of lager in his utility, and wanted a hand with it the night before, so my memory might not be 100%.....

Its a unique room...  ...empty it of beer, and it self replenishes :y

I reckon Kevin Wood keeps it full so the space cannot be utilised by Mrs KW for shoes and hanbags  :-X

Yes, anyway..

Drilling the 80L take frame mounting holes is a piece of cake. Remove carpet, slide the frame back until it just sits nicely between the two bulges where the spring seats protrude into the boot floor, make sure it's central and the strap adjusters are on the forward side, and drill. :y

Think you need to drill another pair of holes in the frame at the side, since the other pair are along one of the long edges IIRC.

When drilling the second holes try to arrange them to be clear of the holes in the chassis rail, as you have to fit larger spreaders to cover them  otherwise.

Secure with nyloc nuts, and they should be nowhere near tight enough to crush the box section. We're not fitting a tow bar. ;)

All 80L, 360MM Dia should be ;) ;)

I drilled little pilot holes (1mm IIRCC) when I did mine and stuck some welding wire through to check they were in the right place ;)

I think it'll have 2 holes in the ends and 2 in the long edge... Just reposition the ones on the long edge to the ends :y
