when it won't run at all check the fuel filter it maybe a problem with a blocked tank check to see the fuel filter has fuel in it at this time i had this problem before(albeit it alot older cars!) but it took me ages to work it out could also be a fuel pressure problem

i had one of those - unbelievably topping it up with water did the trick - if it runs low on coolant it goes into a "get you home mode" for safety - so check that  :y

Thanks folks.Had a look at the car this afternoon and took it on a drive twice, and drove perfect both times,so dont know what to say really. Also cleaned out the crankcase breather, which was packed solid of crap, weather that would make a difference.Another thing is,when it does play up,it always happens around the same time as the turbo comes into play, and never accompanied by any warning lights. :-/
