......Have you found 'em yet? :(

Matthew
Nope, just been looking in even less obvious places, neither the main set or the spare set have made an appearance :(

There's a lock set on the Bay of e http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/kawasaki-zx10-1988-lockset-complete-/390269835095?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5adde51757#ht_500wt_922  ;) ;) ;)
There are cheaper ones, but unsure how to remove the old ones without damaging bike - particularly the petrol filler...

It was just the first I found on eBay  ;)
I'd think that drilling out the original barrels would be the way forward. :-/ :-/ :-/

Do you have a Haynes book of lies for it ? should be clues in there on how to dismantle the variuos bits. Failing that there should be a forum somewhere - they can sometimes be useful when we encounter problems. :D :y

None of the ZX10 forums seem to have the answer, and most are pretty dead now :(

Book of 'dangle berries' and the Kawasaki guides, neither seem to be that helpful for this task :(

Where is the ignition lock situated ? Usually a couple of headless bolts to attach it, which are a pita but not impossible to remove.

Only 2 places I would put keys in the garage, one being the ignition (the key's usual location ::)), and its not there...

Right, some success :)

Not found the rather keys, but found a place is Albs county that could help. Rang them a few times as we tried different options. Due to it having a lock they couldn't identify, I was just about to remove the yoke and send it with the ignition to them for them to create a new key from the ignition lock, when they suggested on last thing. And we found a key number :y

2 new keys turned up yesterday morning, they work a treat. The cost? £12.50 delivered, for 2 keys :y

Had I had sent the yoke off for them to produce 2 new keys from the ignition lock, that would have been £35 for 2 keys, including return postage.

Top, old fashioned service at an excellent price :y

Anybody else in a similar pickle could do much worse than calling Richard at Basildon Locks http://www.basildonlocks.co.uk/ :y
