egr blanking

have seen the egr blanking plates on fleabay, has anybody fitted one and if so what was the result , what does the egr valve actually do ?

a mate of mine has fitted one to his 2.2 vectra and it does seem to be alot more responsive and he claims a little bit better on fuel :-/

His 2.2 Vectra will be more responsive to your 2.2 Omega. Aside from the Vectra being a much lighter car, the 2 engines are completely different.

If anything, fuel consumption will be slightly worse, though not as noticible as diesels which use huge amounts of egr.

so i think i will give that a miss then thanks for ur advice, oh and my 2.2 mig estate weewees all over his vectra prob cos hes messed about with it  ;)
