While we're kind of on the subject, has anyone else noticed the price of petrol falling in the last couple of weeks?  My local petrol station knocked 1p off last week (down to 134.9 from 135.9) and it's gone down from 134.9 to 132.9 in my local Asda.

I'm hoping it's the start of a trend.  :)

Yes, fuel prices have eased due to a significant drop in crude prices as (most of) North Africa and Middle East stabilises...

1pence is not a significant drop. The barrel price has fallen hugely. it could fall by 20pence a litre easily and not be a problem. This country is an embarrassment. Tax tax TAX.

I'm sick to f**k of it. income TAX, council TAX, fuel TAX, value added TAX and when your fed up and need a drink alcohol TAX, proposed plastic bag TAX, it wouldn't surprise me if in the future we get taxed for having a shit! I actually cant wait to die because greedygovernments are screwing the hardworking, soon there will be no enjoyment from anything whatsoever! No wonder there's so many sponging trampy obese layabout scumbags that cant be bothered to contribute.

The price of fuel in Spain normally tracks the price of UK fuel i.e when it is £1.36 for unleaded it is 1.36 euro here.

Recently it dropped quite quickly while it stayed up in Britain. These last few days it has gone back up to about 1.37 for unleaded. Maybe it is because of a change in the euro pound exchange rate these last few days though oil is bought in dollars I believe.
