Huge thanks to o-meg-a
« on: 10 June 2011, 12:28:27 »

Morning everyone...

just wanted to say a big thank you to a fellow OOFer, o-meg-a,
who kindly donated an entire afternoon and part evening putting window tints on my car.
He worked non-stop the entire time, failed to drink one hot cuppa, instead waiting til it got cold before drinking it!  ;D

He did a great job on the car and looks much better, although my car did mess him about on the last window (which rattled him), lol.

I'm very grateful to him for the effort he put in and taking the time to do it. Thanks also to his girlfriend who was waiting patiently at home, so they could go out as planned!

It was great meeting you and thanks again!!

Top man  :y

Honestly not a problem mate,
Just wish i'd had some more time and a bit more roll....
oh and no wind...lol

I hope you get the last window sorted.

I've had some free help off here in the past, so i felt it was my time to try and give back lol.
The tea definitely kept me going, even if i did manage to leave it go cold every time haha

cheers :D ;D

Hi Tunnie,

saw your reply regarding links and "img" button for posting, but not sure where I'm going wrong?
Just started using dropbox after it was mentioned before on here. I've put the pics in the public folder, I then just copied the link onto this site. How do I just have the pics showing, do you know?

Cheers for your help!  :y

Ps, got some pics of the car with tints, but doesn't show too well because of the bright sunshine, lol

I went back to the tint shop for more tint for the door window and they sorted me a piece out, free of charge! How about that for service!
To get the tailgate done will cost £85 plus the tint, so that'll have to wait!

Thanks again for what you did mate  :y

It is a good job, well chuffed. Took o-meg-a all afternoon to do it though. Worked bloody hard on it, fair play.

I opted for dark tint as I wanted shade for the kids in the back as well as looking good, but still have good all round vision even in low light/night time.

and to be honest....£85 is a bit of a rip when it can be done in no time at all in a clean wind free environment lol.

But then i suppose when i was quoted like £250 by a tint company to do the lot.....it's proportionate.

No way i'd pay it though.
Would rather struggle again and again and do it myself....sucker for punishment.

It's well outside what I could afford and like you, was quoted the £200 mark for the back of the car only.
I'm going to give the side window a go, but the back window will have to wait, but then again, if I manage the side window without too much grief..... I may take the plunge, lol.

She's def looking good too after a wash, I ran her through the local garage and she now looks smart again!
