Could be worth you knowing that I bought a Ring model RAC600 as it has an auto inflation pressure preset/cutoff facility means you can inflate tyres to the same exact pressures per axle.

Thanks for all the input - I bought a Halfords Rapid Digital one - and what a piece of cheap plastic crap it is too! No-where near as chunky as the last one but it seems to do the job but we shall see how it lasts.
