What are migs going for?
« on: 12 September 2011, 18:03:14 »

Anyone sold an elite lately? totally out of touch but what would a 2000 reg MFL elite in decent nic, 150k fully working LPG, new tyres , wishbones with WIM setup and serviced more times than Jordan fetch? Cambelt due in a year/10k.

Happy to go via autotrader as need max value out of it. I seem to have caught Beemer fever :D

Unfortunately there is no real answer to that. They sell for whatever the buyer is willing to pay ;)

We sold our saloon for £800 if that helps?

I bought Goldie - a chipped, 3.0l cammed W reg 2.5 Elite - for £700 about 18 months ago, with about 120k on clock.  Yet my 54k 03 3.2 Elite I paid significantly more for.

Did they both work then?  ;D Cheers for the prices, was hoping for nearer a grand but will see what happens.

They both worked when I bought them. Goldie only managed a couple of k before the engine decided enough was enough

I guess being LPG'd would add value to the car as selling large engined cars in the current climate isn't easy.

We've not really seen any price increases due to LPG but I think it does help with the sale

I sold my facelift 2.5 saloon elite on X reg 2000, for £650 4 months ago, but that did have 175k on the clock.
It did have new discs & pads/cam covers done, FSH etc but did have rusty rear wheel arches..... :y

just bought a fairly descent 3.2 V6 MV6 for £650 suspect head gasket haa i know better though classic oil cooler failure now bought it because im sick & tired of BMW had an e36 & e46 323i thought e46 would be bvetter amazing handling but sky high running costs cant beat the old migs for reliability and cheap parts
