EGR Valve light?  :-?

Guessing you have your engine management light on?

Nearest Tech2 would be Nottingham (MarksDTM) or Edinburgh (Hotel21)

If Vectra-C will need a Tech2 with CANdi.  Vectra-B doesn't need CANdi.

you can't

EGR solenoid has an actuator and a sensor in it. if the ECU detects that the sensor doesn't agree with what it's told the actuator to do, then you'll get the MIL light illuminated.

you must replace the EGR to get the light to go out.

Whilst a Tech2 visit will turn off the light, it'll come on again immediately when the ECU can't "see" the sensor.

Yes, they did a few changes on some engines upto certain years which removed the feature (where they could still get around the NOx emissions without it)
