Enjoyed it, actually being able to actually do something for a change. Regretting it this morning, currently soaking in a hot bath, and have popped some pills  :-[

But for first time in 2 months, felt a (small) sense of being able to be useful :D

Went to go out for some breakfast and .. swore at it because it wouldn't start. Then realised I'd parked it 3" from the fence with no hope of getting to the crank sensor. So..

Pushed it (on my tod) up the slope of my drive (break me that was hard!), got the scuttle off, jacked it up, skinned my knuckles, fingers, arms, replaced the crank sensor..

Discovered that you have to be a bloody octopus to get the scuttle back on again, lost one of the little plastic screw things (bugger), put the wipers back on, checked it started, off the jack, went for a drive and...

A bloody great split appeared in the windscreen!

FFS. Does anyone have any matches?  >:( >:( >:(

Hoovered out both the tractors and summoned up the energy to wash one of them. Also removed several boxes of networking stuff from the boot of mine... goes a little better now  ;D

Washed all 3 and fixed Mrs. KW's sticky central locking.

Took the Westfield for a thrashing over to Mother KW's for a roast dinner. :-*

Hoovered, washed, polished, scrubbed and treated the leather, swapped the rear bumper with a freshly tidied one and topped up the oil :y

All in aid of the big day tomorrow when it hopefully gets plated for another year 8)

Only got two immediate jobs to do int morning... swap a pink headlight bulb (fortunately I've got a couple of spare ones :-X), and temporarily fix the EML/emissions lights and try to establish wtf is going on with the speedo :-\ all before 10am.

I had my omega recovered today after it began to fire on three out of four cyls  as i put came out of a roundabout and a huge plume of white smoke filled my rear view mirror...pulled into a lay by..temp gauge was only reading 90 degrees .let it cool down..put 5 litres of water in.....turned the key and there was a sudden huge cloud of white smoke out of the exhaust as it tried to turn over..so stopped,,,turned ignition off  and had it recovered to my local garage....strange realy i only had the head gasket replaced 18 months ago and only done 6000 miles since then,,,,,,on thursday i travelled 220 miles up the motorway without missing a beat....so now have to wait and see what the real damage is....??????????????????  my poor old miggy  :'( :'(

Left it on the drive. No oof, no car jobs. Gardening and house jobs, including tidy up the garage.
Oh no actually, that's a lie, while tidying the garage I found and re fitted the power sounder after Kev soldered in new battery's for me. Bless him.

A nice confident "PIP" emitted as it was plugged in. :)

Cheers Kev. :y

Damn! I knew I meant to do something while I had the scuttle off >:(

Oh well.. take it off again next weekend and see how many more little plastic clips I can lose and whether I make the crack in the windscreen grow any longer..

Watched that split creep another 4" across the windscreen on the way to work.. any bets on how long it takes before it makes it all the way across? (Anyone know how much a screen is?)
