(Well, yesterday) Played my favourite game of installing an engine single-handedly onto a gearbox already fitted to the car. Didn't go too badly, as it happens.

i think im going to remove the engine and replace at some point in the near future. makes you feel like a real man. grrrr

Only about an hour. It was a small engine into a very small car, though. ;)

Today I fought with the wishbones on the Jag again .. got one half freed but the grinder isn't big enough to get the back half of the pivot bolt off because the wishbone and/or subframe is in the way. Maybe a bigger grinder is the answer..

Oh, and it wasn't a hoofing great 6 pot tractor boat-anchor, and it wasn't raining. :P

Got embarrassed by a RR Evoque around a roundabout  :-[

Fitted new cruise stalk.

Same to u mate have a good weekend
Had the old girl in for her tracking to be done
Cost me £27 and what a difference!! So now
I've got my wheels to clean and refurb over the
Weekend ,tyre fitter coming Tuesday so hope to have
Them on mid week  :y

I declared success!



Although my joy was short lived as I still need to get a stubby bit of jammed in bolt out of one half of the wishbone (the remainder of what would normally bolt the two halves together) - and managed to have a drill bit disintegrate in the bolt while drilling it out  >:(

Actually SWMBO's car - but hoovered it, general checks and oil and oil filter change. Some numpty did the sump plug a bit tight last time though ::)
