Got halfway through replacing the rear window mechanism in the Silver Bullet when the heavens absolutely opened.

I'll have some din-dins, then tackle it again when the rain stops.

Fixed a few niggles.

Replaced front pads with genuine as I broke anti rattle spring on last lot and it was annoying the hell out of me.

Stopped the door pins rattling by using clear silicone. And the bloody passenger door card. It's bloody impossible to get those things back on properly after removing them.

Changed drivers side mirror full assembly.

Changed wiper blades and adjusted up nicely. Still too much play in mechanism. Flat wiper blades off eBay are crap btw.

New terminals on pos and neg as wire had corroded inside factory crimped terminal and didn't exactly look easy to get out and reuse. Turns over faster than a fast thing now.

Cleaned birds mess off window.

Tidied boot.

I now know that every bolt in steering is super tight :y

I hope you remembered to seal up all the holes first, else you'll have to drain it before you can go anywhere ::)

Had a problem with the Manta on the local annual Opel run yesterday. Smelled  hot antifreeze and stopped to find a little drip from the thermostat cover /hose clip. Tightened it and it started to run out and nothing could stop it. Found >:( that the alloy housing had corroded leaving nothing for the hose to clamp onto and when I tightened it it crushed the remaing casing. :'(
Managed to get it home and swapped over to the Omega and completed the run ... :)
Decided to do the job right and went through all my parts store and found new OE water pump, thermostat , thermostat housing and a full complement of gaskets to suit. Checked all the hoses and have selected better used ones from stock .
Thoroughly cleaned the residue of  the leaked coolent from every surface it splashed onto
As I am planning on selling the Manta after 35 years ( BMW 635 a 'calling  8) )I thought it would be better to get the engine bay back to concours for sale. So most of the ancillery items have been removed for refurbishing and to allow me access to touch up engine block etc.
Found two wishbone bushes worn so ordered Poly replacements for them , cracked all bolts for removal.
I think she know's she going so gave me a last kick in goolies .......

The orgasmatron is a fictional electromechanical device that appears in the 1973 movie Sleeper, which also shows the effects of a related device, an orgasmic orb. Similar devices have appeared in other fictional works. The term has also been applied to a non-fictional device capable of triggering an orgasm-like sensation using electrodes implanted at the lower spine  ;D ;D ;D
