And with uprated front struts/ springs on the front and spax adjustables/ stiffer springs at the rear they could be made to handle quite nicely (within the limitations of the basic design) and were, in their day, a reasonably competitive rally car. :y
Martin Imber is going to love this..... ::) ;D

My car has uprated springs all round(Capri on the front as they were a third the price of Avenger ones!), and uprated bushes on the front. I don't see the point of adjustables on a road car as they've never got a suitable amount of adjustment, so I just fitted new shocks all round. With the big 5.5" wheels and 175/70 tyres(big compared to stock!) it now has way more grip/handling than power, and I barely need to slow down for anything. This has all been done in readiness for the XE that I've got ready to go in at some point soon.

They're still a competitive rally car - the Finns love them - and were pretty good track cars too. One of the specialists offers 190HP 9000rpm engines too!

Crapis were a psuedo sports car for posers.A Cortina in drag, with that long bonnet/ front end giving built in terminal understeer. Give me a well sorted Avenger over a crapi any day - and I have owned both and driven many examples of both. :y

Yeah, I think I'd go along with all of that. :y

Mate of mine used to have a nice Avenger Tiger with a pair of dell'ortos. :-*

Really? Tigers should have Webers!

I have a feeling it had a pair of Strombergs on when he got it, and he fitted them, so possible it wasn't entirely authentic. ;)

Got it even dirtier than it was racing through the backroads to and from Twiglet's house to pick some wheels ::)

Tilted tank the other way and filled it up again. Does this actually make any odds?

Must admit I wasn't sure how much was left in it. But seems the same to me.  :-/

I was surprised how much I had to tilt mine to stop it overfilling.  Even so, it tends to fill to around 67-68l, assuming those useless rather retards at BP have that much...

I've done nothing today to the Black Beastie - but the idiot in his Land Rover in front of me in the Mackie’s drive through queue thought it would be good to reverse straight back into the front of mine.
 >:(
Can see a new front grill replaced soon.

On a brighter note - though quieter level, ordered the new exhaust - so will hopefully be getting that fitted soon.

Left off working at cars/ bikes today and tidied my shed. Its been chaos since I started breaking Blackie. I put all the leftover Mig bitz into a couple of cardboard boxes and tidied everything else up to restore some order - I hate an untidy shed.
So, ready for another breaker now. :)..............not certain that it will be an Omega though. Depends what comes along. :-/

No need to label theam as anything other than 'Omega junk', so you don't need to waste any more time when in 10 years time you pull the box out, read the label and chuck it and it's contents in the nearest skip.
