installed an extra fuel check valve in the tank just after the pump..

still no joy.. it starts after 5th-6th crank >:( >:( >:( :(

Bummer!! may be a bit of useless info here though, on the older gm stragiht sixes, this was often caused by the fuel pump relay getting tired, dont know if they are expensive there or not Cem but it may be worth a try?

Injection cavaliers used to suffer from that as well, probably the same relay :-?

changed list..
brand new gm fuel pump 230 £ ouch..(it hurts and thats not the list price)
new crank sensor 60 £
fuel relay-main relay (twin purples) 25 £
fuel regulator 20 £
injector cleaning and pressure tests 40 £
check valve .. (free)

and now this

dont know the name for it , price 25£ approx..

now a bit better starts at the 4 th crank when cold..will see when hot today.. :-/

sparks all new..(ngk 4 electrode)
sparks checked .. its ok..

interestingly if I pull icv hose and maf socket it starts immediately..

and once started it pulls like a train.. yesterday even at 80 kms/hr (traction control on-2 gear ) rear was hardly controllable.. ;D

I'm a bit suspicious about relay box and ecu..

no way.. I'll dig deeper.. it must start at least at the second crank..

Realised I'd wrecked the tyres on the Elite.

Its a double edged sword - on one respect, its good to get rid of those god awful, useless, hopeless, crappy, slipery pointless Michelin Pilot Sport 2 :D

However, it is forcing me to make a decision I was not ready to make  :'(

if their surface hardened, it may be worth to try chemical softeners,  they are not that bad tires :-/

2 days ago I washed my tires surface with detergent as they were covered with oil from services .. even that made a big difference

Strips of canvas are poking out.  I don't think any amount of chemical will help that cem ;D

Changed the wishbones on the TD, and as any TD owner knows, the pax side rear bush bolt is a pita due to the two rubber pipes usefully positioned just above the bolt head ensuring maximum difficulty in fitting the socket on the head! >:( >:( >:( :-X :-X :-X :y

Be patient, several light coats and build it up. Get a can of blend from your local pint factors and spray it around the edge of the area youve sprayed immediately after spraying. Then a rub down with 2000 grade wet& dry dipped in soapy water.
Then repeat the process with a few coats of lacquer. I get acceptable results from spraying smallish areas using this method. :y
