Measured the battery with a meter prior to driving to Brill, after the car stood since Thursday evening. 12volts exactly.

This is connection with a couple of false alarms going off on start up.
The Mill, at Brill, on the Hill?

Lovely place on a nice day. Grim as hell when the weather is shite...

I used to do scrambling competitions moto-cross there back in the day. Challenging course in the early '60s. Is it still used? :y

Ordered four new tyres to replace the winter ones currently fitted :-X

On the Merc? How much was that?
£87 each... for my second favourites :y

Blimey, that's cheaper than Omega  ;D

Can't be that big at that price, 16/17's?
245/45/17 W 99 XL :y

Make/Type?  :)

Did the oil cooler and thermostat today, cam belt and pressure test the cooling system (and flush coolant repeatedly) tomorrow..

Well, I say that, really I watched Mr Gixer do 99% of the work while I made coffee, bacon sarnies and put the b-bolt back in ;D

Chris also found that my steering idler is knackered (I suspected as much), drop link boots are split and there's still the wishbones to do another day. Oh and I just noticed the front disks are well past their best while under there..

Yes discs are buggered, but they may well pass as the inner edge hasn't actually chipped away.... Yet.

Defo advisory and performance will suffer. Probably best to change them.

Did well with the b bolt btw. :y

Now that's nice Sir Philbut. Good job. :y

Is it like a wrap, or a vinyl?
Thanks

Correct a vinyl wrap  ;) £3.99 off the bay

Have you got a link for that wrap please ?

Any tips ?
Is it easy to cut and apply ?
Do tell because that really looks the dogs gonads  :y :y

Closed around 1996 I believe, but the track may well still be there.  :-\
A seriously boggy course in wet weather.  :)

I can't make up my mind if I like that or not Sir Philbutt, but that does look to be a first class job, fantastic :y

Was it difficult, or just fiddly? And how long did each bit take?

The centre consol bit was the hardest to do, really fiddly. Took me about 2 hours as the hollow would not go out to the rest. That is actaually a seperate piece to the rest

The door bits and ashtray took about 15 mins each and the stereo surround about 30

Thinking about doing the door arm rests (round window buttons) as surface is breaking up and maybe even the door compartments. Will try one and see what it's like

.....
Not a blister or crease in sight. Good job. :y

Actually there are some very tiny blisters on the centre consol bit as it was so fiddly but wanted to see how it looked before I resolved them with a pin prick and some heat

.....

Have you got a link for that wrap please ?

This is the store I used CarStyleOnline delivered in a couple of days no probs

Found this site on the web WrapItRight some good tube video's

Did the door card bits first. Made some mistakes learned some lessons and then went for the centre consol

Thought they would have looked the Tiger Gonads

Be interesting to see the door compartments done to get rid of that milky effect.  :y I seem to recall someone on here posting pics of theirs with the same wrap but can't recall who it was.  :-\

How durable is this stuff ?
Will it stand coins and things like that getting thrown in the cubby underneath the handbrake ?
How about heat due to the sun ? Does it go soft and tear if its caught with something ?

Tbh, I was looking at maybe spraying the silver bits on my Mv6 but this looks a much better bet  :)

I used similar on a 106 to replace the tatty original sticker on the door frames, if fitted properly should have no issues with it :y

Might scratch over time under the handbrake, but so will any finish tbh :y

TBH cant answer any of that yet as only been in a day, but, it is the same stuff they wrap car body's with so I presummed quite durable.

Also if it gets damaged just apply heat, remove and stick new on, job jobbed better than re-spraying

Did consider doing this in a silver wrap like the MV6's and Elite's but the carbon fibre appealed to my "chaviness"

Will report back though
