Getting ready for the big deep clean/detail which is a yearly event for me, Takes anywhere from around 2 - 4 weeks taking it easy ;D ... Even got a DA polisher recently, Should be fun  :y ...Spent a shit load on quality pads, polish, wax etc.. For the most part I find it relaxing :)

Was tempted by this wax but i'll let yous guess why I didn't buy it  LINK it's a Mystery ::)

Drained, flushed and refilled cooling system then a quick run to try and prove whether little bit of "gunge" in header tank was oil cooler failure,me mixing incompatible coolants or something.Luckily  coolant  and header tank remained clean,so not oil cooler then!PHEW!!!!

Yup, I should have checked first ;D

Not really able to jack up the car at the moment, so it will have to wait until I've been fixed

Finally! Now just old one out and newold one in 8)
Pretty simple wirings and all the pipings, worried waaay too much before starting the job  ;D
Btw, there's a pretty good tip for lifting. The whole engine/gb came out aligned pretty straight as u see when lifting from the passenger (driver for you) side and middle lifting points. Just tensioned the chain so that engine rose about 5cm and then removed the gearbox rear support and didn't swing a bit!

I'm going to use my car's loom that is in much better shape so I'll just write down the connector locations when disassembling it. The breather and coolant pipes seemed to be pretty straight forward, but with my memory I think that at the end of the project I'm going to have 100 pages of notes and 1tb of pics and still be wondering all the wirings and pipings :D

ATF & filter change as per the OOF guide. This was overdue and was causing 'abnormal' gear shifting. All is now back to normal....I should have got off my backside and done it earlier really! Service kit supplied through Autobahnstormers. I hope to see some of you at Billing!

Got my old Omega back today for mot/service and cat back exhaust system, front bolts all snapped even after attention from the gas axe,all drilled out now and waiting for the system to turn up,the exhaust was all that was needed for the test though so pretty good really :y :y

New exhaust fitted to the MV6 today and yes all the bolts on the front snapped >:( all drilled out and new system on. Rear pipes are very close just before the back box, was not like that with the other system from Poland for the Elite. :-\ still I'll start her tomorrow and see if I get a rattle :D :y
