Watched young Daz do my aux belt, aux belt tensioner, water pump and coolant change, then watched him drop the cats and weld in two new post cat bosses. :) Cheers Daz  :y

Oh, and left him with a project as well.....

Then sat in the passenger seat and let Mrs VXL drive me home  :y

Noted that seat bolts need to go with the seats not stay with the car.

If fitting Mv6 seats in Elite, the original bolts are too long, with the cap head too proud, so will foul the mv6 seat runners, restricting leg room severely.

I couldn't get in it. ;D

Colour coded for the benefit of the factory monkeys ;D

Pink threadlock for the Elite, Blue for the rest :y

Finally liberated the low pressure fill valve on the aircon, just need to regas it now... ::)

Had the gearbox rear seal changed as the chassis is now completely rust proof  ;D (gearbox only took a litre to refill :-X) and discovered that last weeks' little bump caused the gearbox mounting to fail >:( so a new one ordered... another job for next weekend ::)

All Jag stuff again for me.

Snapped a stud:

Scraped off 20 years of dissimilar metal corrosion:

And had some lessons on the correct use of my lathe:

The last part being the most fun I've had in the garage in ages.. I found machining something to a target measurement and tolerance a thoroughly therapeutic process :y

Noticed a jousting mark in TBE's rear bumper. Bugger. I wasn't even in it at the time.

Nothing.

It is in disgrace after dumping its coolant over me while I was fitting a new ETS clamshell exhaust system at the weekend. >:(

New starship enterprise should arrive tomorrow.  ;)

Backing onto drive, trying to avoid driving over new curb's fitted today, Sal's car and old mig, wasnt watching how far i was back and bumped the rear door into the skip on my drive.

Bugger bugger bugger and did I say  bugger It's well "dinged" and creased right next to the glass

Looks like i'm transplanting the rear door off the old mig and a spray job
