Taxed the rover, took it for a drive, all seems ok,slight weep on camshaft cover gasket, but that will be sorted when i service it next month, fitted stereo and sounds good, need to install sub box at a later date.
When you hook it off, clean out the breathers, and wash the gauze through (you'll see it, litle one of those kettle antiscaling devices).

Multiple types of cam gasket, I always found I was supplied with the one for dizzy-equipped K series. Hopefully, factors have better info now...   ...yours needs the type with the hole for the cam sensor (and its not easy to cut one in on the wrong type.

Talking of cam sensors, often failed, but no warning light (BMW era ;)). I have a Testbook here if ever you want it checked.

Ok will check that out when i get cam cover off, might have to borrow the book for a bit of light reading sometime if thats ok :)

Removed the air box lid on 3.2 using the lever it till it snaps method (screw heads crumbled away with rust).  :)

Replaced it with new air box lid purchased from Albitz Omega Spares Emporium.

Watched serek and his brother lift my 3.2 engine into the back of his van.Strong lads those Polish boys. I wanted to help but they told me to fetch a cup of tea ::) ;D
Stripped a load of bits & pieces of the breaker,so its almost ready for the scrappy now. :)
When I tow it off the drive, the horror of the state of the drive underneath it is going to be revealed. ::) :-X :-X

Watched the drivers side headlamp fail on the Omega at the very start of the journey from Solihull home in the dark.. I really am not having very much luck when it comes to cars recently - or anything mechanical, I managed to break the coffee machine at work last week as well!

Bled the brakes on a RAV4. Nice easy job,no need for a jack,as its high enough anyway. :)

Changed the engine oil on my daewoo. Filter at top front of engine, just lean in. No cover under the engine, just stretch under. 5w 30 fully synthetic £20 off ebay. Quick and cheap  :y
