Cursed at Mrs TB for running out of brake pads on the way home. Grrrr. The one week we need 2 cars, and no time (or tools) to fix it.

Guess I'll be eating take out pizza tonight ;D

Too late. Not bothered really.

But it's a jacking point(the bit behind the front wheel) and that's what happens when a jack is used on it. No?

Already has a rubber pad. It's just the weight of the car. Plywood or not.

Seems a petulant advisory to me. Tbh

Yeah, and to me >:(
Suppose the tester had to find 'something' on a near-15 year-old car though ???

Hammerited all the welded corners of the TD estate, then undersealed same when dry. I've also de-rusted every brake connecting ferrule and Hammerited them, and I cannot find any rusted brake pipes not treated, or serious rust that should fail the MOT in two weeks. Also changed the fuel filter and gave it the diesel magic treatment before an Italian road test to clean the injectors. So with all the brake discs renewed, handbrake overhauled, time will tell! :y
