Flipping weather. Laid in bed this morning, could hear the rain, went back to sleep. About 12pm, sun came out, blue sky, so I ran a couple of errands, filled the car up, and set to cleaning it.
I was halfway round the car with the buckets and mitt, and it starts... precipitating. Filthy sleet. I was well peeved, its the first chance I've had to get the car clean in the last fortnight...

That looks really good. Very nice and clean. I do like the silver facelifts a lot.

Especially when they're that clean and shiny; very nice motor.

Fleabay is pretty good, but be warned; if you buy body kit what you save in buying cheaper parts, you only end up paying someone in labour to make it fit. My Steinmetz front valance went on with a "click" and stayed there without any work whatsoever. The body-shop had never seen any body-mod fit so well in 20 years.

I'm just about to buy these side-skirts:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Seitenschweller-OPEL-OMEGA-B-C-NEU-TX_W0QQitemZ300204857507QQihZ020QQcategoryZ44212QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262

and this rear apron:

And I bet neither of them fit as well as the genuine Seinmetz part on the front did. The thing is all the Irmscher and Steimetz stuff is sold out nowadays.

You might want to try both of the online shops you can get to from the links above. Another good spot which sells quality grilles that look really good is Mattig. The thing I like is that the grilles are just horizontal slats rather than the criss-cross of mine.

Mattig suff here:

The grille I mentioned

and a nice front valance:

Spend a bit of time finding out about Meguiars as an alternative.

This site is worth a look too:

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php

It's all a bit full on and confusing but the following key links (taken from there) just about sum it up:

Good washing guide
Detailing clay bar starter's guide
Guide to Rotary Polishing
Porter Cable Polisher Importing Guide
Slow Cut Method
Back to basics interior cleaning
