Not really using the fairy and dustpan are ya!?! *slap*

Detailing World (actually a uk site....still figuring that one out!?!) says tescos own branded car wash liquid is good!  :o

Can't beat the glym though, meguiars don't have a product to match it. Lookin nice mate, give yourself a pat on the aching back  :y

*edit* oh and our DTi elite is silver also  ;D

lol the date stamp on my camera's wrong it was washed and pic'd 2 days ago. yeah i REALLY did use fairy liquid and a dustpan brush to wash it, i knew fairy was bad for it but since i was polishin it too didnt really think it mattered too much and the brush is just for quickness, its got soft bristles and it shifts the muck super quick  :y

I'm gonna stop all that, think i'll stick to the glym though cos really like the application and it gives a good finnish.  Got some trade stuff there to that was aquired from arnie clarks, dont quite like it cos its supposed to wash and polish all in 1 go  but its dead sticky when comin off, but it smells like brand new cars and you cant beat that smell !

Again thanks for comments  :y

nope the maguires one is better i think. my tyres looks great for weeks.

i have switched everything to maguires.
oh and if i drop a cloth on the floor i ditch it and never use it again. as it scratches the paint with the stones it picks up!

babys cloth nappies are great and cheep! ;)

I shall try the miguires products and see if they're any good, really want to get myself a lambswool wash cloth, i'll do all this in the summer, and i may even put a few coats of polish on her.

I would actually have preferred a darker paint, blue or even black cos they look so much shinyer

I tend to use Turtle Wax shampoo as it includes car wax and on my previous motor which was black, it kept it shining sweet despite my never once giving it a proper wax in nearly three years ownership!

And for glass - an old trick I'm sure some of you know, plain old b&w newspaper!

For those that don't, try doing your glass (inside & out) with crumpled up sheets of newspaper next time, you might be surprised. Once I've dried the car, I keep the glass wet with a sponge then just crumple up a sheet and rub until it's dry and gleaming. Done inside and out the results can be amazing. Something about the ink that polishes the glass I'm told...

ps, I'm not suggesting this is a match for a proper Autoglym wax job but is as good as it gets without dedicated waxing, in my humble opinion :)
