Omegas x 4 plus 1 toy
« on: 24 February 2008, 16:20:31 »

My first omega.
3.0 elite with manual box sold 4 1/2 years ago to buy the second one.

My second omega.
3.0 mv6 auto with leather sold 2 1/2 years ago to buy my current toy.

My third omega.
2.0 cd auto bought in october for winter runabout then added 17" wheels etc, sold last week.

My latest omega.
3.0 mv6 manual, bought 2 weeks ago don't have any better pics yet.

And finally my toy.
4x4 cosworth sapphire with 400bhp.

I hope these come out otherwise I have just waisted a long time messing with pictures for nothing (I am at work so I shouldn't complain).

Cheers
N

The cossie is an absolute beast I do enjoy it over the pennines in the summer but it is an expensive hobby about 4mpg when giving it large not much will stay with it though.

Its up on stands at the moment getting a new gearbox and some 330mm 6 pot brakes fitted.

I loved my old mv6 with the momo's on it, had black leather too and I had sold it to a bloke who lived over the road from where we lived at the time. He still has it and I asked if I could buy it back but he won't part with it so I now have the black manual one it needs a couple of small jobs doing but only has 61K on it with dealer history and drives well.

:y Loving just how clean they all are.

Love the Cossie... I personally would lose the twin headlamps, but I'm picky. And I ain't going to argue with 400bhp...

Here it is with the standard lights.

Thats how it looked when I bought it 2 years ago.
The basic engine spec was there but it needed some fine tuning and some parts uprating to match the performance it had.
The body work is immaculate is it has spent every winter garaged up.

The cossie looks nice,  I'm not a big fan of them, to heavy on fuel even in standard trim, i like the new bread of 4WD cars (Evo's etc, etc)
The bloke next door good one very quick Evo 6, 550bhp, 0-62 in 3.34 sec's and top'd out at 187mph. The Miggy look nice  ;)

Thats one fast evo.
I did toy with the idea of getting either one of them or a p1 impreza but I've wanted a cossie since they came out and last chance I had of owning one the insurance wanted 2.5K but that was in the twocking era.

It must have cost a fortune to get the evo to that spec, the engine in mine will easily take 550 plus bhp with a bigger turbo and injectors it is based of the rs500 touring car engine.
It would be fun on the track but a nightmare to drive on the road  unless I spent another few grand on new style engine management and new wiring harness etc.

A friend of mine had a RS500, with about 540+bhp, all 8 injectors working, bigger turbo, wired block etc etc he spent something like £45k on the engine, and he'd have to do something to the thing every other week, they are not good an engine at that sort of bhp, unlike the jap engines.

He now has a 700 bhp skylinner R34
