ASA REVOLUTION Wheels on my Catera/Omega
« on: 13 October 2008, 11:32:29 »

I just picked these up from a local guy who had them on his saab, they are 17x8 with 235 Conti Rubber... so far I really like them, they are lighter then the 18s and the rubber sticks nicely to the road...

What do you guys think? I plan on throwing some winter tires on these and using them as a winter wheel set!...

At first the car looked awkward to me and now the more I look at them the more they remind me of a Porsche and a racing wheel!

Just for reference this is what the car looked like before with the 18s...

they're really nice actually! I say actually, cos i've never seen that style on something like an omega/catera

we have an alloy over here made by BBS that's identical to those and found more commonly (too commonly actually) on VW Golf (Rabbit in US i think) made between 84-98 :y

I like them as well but I think my next mod will be some lowering springs all around and that will set the car off real nice...

Loving the deepdish look, but I think the 18" suit the car better :)

I'm not a huge fan of facelift migs or low profile tyres/rims but i think you've got the overall "LOOK" of the car right. It works.

     Peachy Mig!!!!!!!!!!! 8-)

I like the look of the 17s. They suit the car and the colour well. Then again, the 18s have more presence though.

BTW - when was the last time you had your alignment checked? The fronts look like they have too much camber...?

I am probalby 2-3mi away from the plant, the parking lot that I took the pictures at was right behind the test track!
Seemed like a neat place to take pictures, and the lot had no cars on it so it worked out great...  ::)

Are you or have you worked around here? :P

Alignment was done a few months ago, the car was set at I think 1.2°Front and 2.25°Rear, the guy said it was within specs... think his machine said normal was from 0.5-1.5Front and rear was 1.5-2.5, I know it wears tires much faster that way but it sticks to corners and I like it... its hard to drift it thou, seems like too much grip almost...

I will get the spec sheet on here...
