You need to remove the paint from the gasket surfaces i.e.

Where the throttle mounts
Where the EGR assembly mounts
Inside the hole for the breather bridge
Inside the idle air valve hole
The base of the plenum where the rubber seals from the inlet mate

Should be easy to do and wont be obvious but, you dont want paint being ingested or any of the seals being compromised

thanks for heads up, i was going to sand off the overspray anyway, but it's nice to see your on the ball  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

This is the finished item.

Also put some carbon over the vauxhall badge

I use, and don't laugh...
It's grafitti spray paint, the benefits being,
large 600ml cans,
good coverage,
A nice even coat everytime,
and, it's only just over £4 a can.
They do loads of colours...
I'll be doing my wheels when it gets warmer, anthracite.

I take it thats what you used before, I wouldn't have used a spray can because I would have thought that the heat in the engine bay would cause problems but obviously not  :)

Hi, no it doesn't cause a problem, because i don't fit the plenum on straight away, give it time to dry out thoroughly.
Also, the plenum doesn't really get that hot to make the paint flake off.
