Newbie hello.
« on: 10 September 2007, 12:25:56 »

Hello All!
I am here thanks to laidback 66( thank you!), and a previous visit to the Vx forum. Didnt know this sort of thing existed for "normal" cars! no offence intended, as I kinow the Omega is no normal car!
I have been looking for answers to my current problem of my sick 97 Omega V6 2.5cd estate that appears to have developed a somewhat noisy engine, actually it sounds like a dumper truck!
It sounds like its terminal, so I am looking for another as we (my wife and I ), love this car and its got us all through France twice and all round the Uk, 5 up, roofbox and all, with no problems, until now.
It seems my service intervals have been a bit slack! Time to change with the next one.
Looking forward to chattting and meeting other Omega owners, both depressed at the state of the current Wagon and exited about buying a new one.
Cheers,
El Swervo

Welcome to the forum. :)

If you can be a bit more specific with the problem on your current Omega and would like to post it in the 'General Help' section you may be surprised that you don't have to get a new car.

I am going to investigate the problem myself this week,as the garage it was recovered to were not specific-could be anything at the moment. I will however do as you say as soon as I have sussed it out!
It would be nice to fix it.
Thanks for your help and thank you for all the welcomes!
