yeh but if you'd bid your absolute highest and then still been outbid, then you havent so much "lost out"

it seems like you wished you'd bid that bit more tho..?

I find thats always the case in auctions....come second and wish you pushed a bit more...

then - when you do win - you wonder, what have i missed out on that everyone else spotted, whats the catch? whats have i bought?

The joys of auctions  ::)

I was a little bit peed off earlier this week. I missed out on this by about £45. I set my limit and stuck to it, despite LB66 telling me to follow my heart. I'll doubt I'll see another like that for a while :(

Never Mind, there's another coming up soon,  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300146310729&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX&refitem=320150496245&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget You could consider sniping it next time, which means your bid doesn't go in till the last few seconds.  :y

Cheers Tony. The winning bidder lives in Lancashire, so wont be too much hassle for you. I'll give you a shout when I get his address (at gunpoint, of couse) from the seller. :y

Just to clear up this winning bid malarky: I bid £2852.50 about 10 secs before auction end. Ebay then bid £2898 on the winning bidders behalf, a diiference of £45.50. If his bid had have been any higher, ebay would have bid £50 above mine. So, the fact that they didn't means that was his final bid.
