The door should open with the key, dont be too afraid, the keys are pretty tough.

The key will work, but be stiff.

Or open boot with key, and put a battery charger across boot light (get it round the right way!) to put small amount of charge in battery.

There is another way of getting in, but causes a little damage to trim - PM me if you want to do this...

I had this with mine & managed to open the door, I was afraid I was going to break the key in the lock but did it in the end.

does the key turn in the boot lock? mine didn't and had seized through lack of use - a few squirts of WD40 and jiggling the key left to right freed it up ... worth a try?

Same thing happend with mine..but the key held and opened the door (though I was a little worried at first)...seems it works for most people..worth a go!

I thought facelifts didn't have the facility for inserting a key into the boot.
