Well done the coolant flush today after seeing the water looked like brown rusty water. Bought some rad flush put that in when at work before I came. Drove home with the flush in the cooling system got home and emptied the water. Brown water came out, Hose pipe in the expansion tank and left the rad plug out and flushed the water through. Then I put the plug back in and filled with water about five times until the water came out clear. Whilst I was doing that decided to take the top and bottom hoses off and flush the rad out as well due to seeing rusty water coming out when the last drops of water coming out of the plug hole.
Connected everything back and filled with water to approx half way then topped up with antifreeze. Started the car let it run then filled up with antifreeze again until the level stablised in the tank. Left the car running for about half an hour checked and left to cool down and retopped up with water. Now thats all done I can be rest assured that the coolant will keep the cooling system nice and clean until it needs doing again next year. Next job to be done is the engine flush and a bloody good service. Air, oil, pollen filter, fuel filter plugs and leads then she might just run better and the fuel consumption should improve a bit.
