Appreciate the replies,

I was just thinking, if I can smell oil still, and these switches are prone to leak oil for some reason, then why not change it to eliminate another possible leakage??????????????????????????????? :-/

And that's where it is on the V6:

Where those nuts are on that bottom lip, is exactly where I can see a puddle of oil, but I now don't know if this was down to my rocker covers, or another leak?

Had a good look and seems that the leak isn't the oil pressure switch as after id cleaned all up, went for a drive came back and oil back on the top of the sump.  :(

Switch was bone dry but on further investigation looks like the usual rocker gasket problem an the very front edge just behind the cambelt cover where the cover goes up over the camshaft. Rung my local dealers for a price on the gasket sets and he told me there is a choice of 2?? One can just be replaced with gaskets, the other has to have complete new covers??? as they did a modification on the set up??

Anyone had this asked before or is he just waffling??

I'm pretty certain your 98 model just needs gaskets. I've heard this cam cover thing before, but not sure its ever the case...
