bumpy ride
« on: 06 January 2007, 16:03:30 »

hello wozzle here, thanx for advice on iffy start up problem, its sorted out now just put more fuel in and checked electrical plugs to fuel pump and she starts straight away every time, think i let the fuel get to low and dragged som muck through.
Anyway to my next problem, sometimes when u go over a slight bump in the road there is an awful clunk on the front end and other times over bigger bumps or potholes its not as bad,now obviously apart from avoiding holes which is not that easy with the state of the roads today has anyone any ideas? I have had new shocks, tyres and drop links but to no avail :-/

I can always supply the beer too  ;)

I'd really be up for a diff party (don't think the oil, and seal is that much? ££), got everything running nicely now. Just the cambelt next!

btw, the car ran silky smooth on the way back from yours.... still  harsh when reving, but cruise at 2.5k was silky, silky smooth  :)

Look at the exhaust, my old was one very brown and 'oil' covered where the zorst runs underneath the diff. The new one is going brown too, i'll have to doube check which part of the zorst. But as a general advice, look at it around the diff area  :y

I found out on my grandparents brand new driveway  :-[

Try putting a large plastic try underneath the diff after a long run, the oil that comes out is very smelly.

Mine is leaking very small amounts, around 5p coin worth after a long run but i reckon it will add up.

I suppose these diff seals are the same as the V6 ones?
