It's got 8 months MOT and 3 months Tax, might be a bargain if it's an easy fix. Just looking for ideas on what the problem is...

If the box is shagged then I'll leave well alone, but if it's a known issue I can cure, I'll watch it ;D

Agreed matey, but I think it will go beyond that money with 2 days to go.....

could be the box is screwed, or maybe just the slector rod is damaged (or cheaper, loose) when mine was loose it kepd dropping out of drive...

keep an eye on it, know i will lol  ;D

That does sound more like a box fault....   ...may get away with fresh fluid??

Its high mileage.
Dont get dazzled by a low price, assume it needs another box and I would also budget for rear shocks, front struts and an a/c condensor plus the usual 'service' items such as cam belt and tyres. Work out the likely costs and set yourself a limit.

No...Im not bidding on it and trying to put anyone off, my last estate had 150k on it when I moved it on so I know what can be needed on higher mileage barges.
