Will Alonso be racing at Spa?
« on: 13 September 2007, 20:31:50 »

So McLaren are penalised.  The drivers are not because they got immunity in return for evidence.  The emails were to/from Alonso, and guess who was the only driver not at the hearing!  Will Ron Dennis let him drive this weekend?  :-?

Certainly they cant afford for him not to, rather he won than the poser, unfortunately all that data cannot be put back in the box.

More civil and criminal actions to follow, they are in dead stom. Industrial espionage is still illegal.

All employers own the copyrights of thier products. All employees efforts, ideas, designs, whilst employed and memory after, also belong to the original copyright owner.

The question now will they appeal ? I recon not, with the comments about the drivers they run a big risk of them being thrown out as well. there was a comment that the immunity offered had been withdrawn some days earlier.

They are all the agents of thier own misfortune, and will have earned hopefully thier just reward. :y

I'm sure he'll be there. McLaren might have been clobbered financially, but they still have to satisy their sponsors. ;)

perhaps I have become too cynical in my older age but I suspect a conspiracy or sting. F1 is mega business so could have mega dirty tricks.

Where is the 100 million dollars going?

What would happen if say Spyker had been the "receiving team".?

Have there been any unusual bank credits to any of the supposed players?

Bernie Eccelstones pocket I should think

I reckon McClaren may do a stuff you and set up a rival championship with all other times except Ferrari (who would like it because they then would always win!)

Don't think Ferrari come out of this smelling like roses. After all, it was one of their employees that passed the documents on in the first place.

Personally, I think it is a ridiculous amount to be fined, whether or not McLaren are truly guilty. It seems that the FIA just want to screw McLaren into the ground. Wonder why they would want to do that?  ::) ::)

it is a stupid amount to fine them, cosidering the info that they had was not used in any way!!!!!! and they haven't actually been charged with anything and they have once been let off with it!!!

I dunno, Alonso has gotten off pretty easy so far.  He was one of apparently only 3 people that were involved.  Maybe McLaren will take Button next year and tossp*t Alonso can drive the POS he deserves.

i think alonso should go and i also think that jenson button should take his place. he has the ability to be a world champion but no disrespect to honda they dont have a winning car. it would be sad if jenson was the world champion that never was.
as for the original question the answer is an emphatic NO

so i was wrong about todays race. i think the question should be will alonso be at maclaren next year. ron dennis looked really hacked off today, very diplomatic and dignified in his interview.
i wonder what he really thinks and what he he would like to say

Big respect to Ron, I think he's dealt with the press and the FIA VERY professionally.....   I'm not a McLaren fan particularly, they've certainly gone up in my estimations from the way that they've dealt with the aftermath....   My greater concerns are for motor racing and the damage done there, for the, certainly, near future....  Conspiracy is expected in football, it's kinda' the norm, with match fixing and stuff....  But NOT motor sports...
