If it's not the rocker covers, or oil cooler unions, then it will be the crank seal or upper sump. If it's the upper sump, then it's 12hour job plus to fix...  the crank seal is easy enough, if you can get the bloody pulley off without breaking the key !!

Just read the description and all the work that's been listed and the price said work would cost etc and with the comment that all this would cost £1500....yet the car is listed for £1295,now this for me personally (assuming i didn't know of Ronnie or OOF ) reading that EBay advert id be concerned why someone was selling a car that's had £1500 of work for £1295 making a £200 loss.....would suggest to me its a complete lemon that constantly breaks down and seller just wants shot of it.

Of course im sure that's not the case but as someone simply looking through ebay rightly or wrongly id assume there something wrong with it.

tis definately not the case, knowing the reputations of the members who had involvement in this car its pretty safe to say its not gonna be a let down to the new buyer

at the end of the day a very small percentage of people make profit on selling their car, I know for a fact I wont get what i paid, and if i can afford to let mine go dirt cheap when the time comes, and make the new owner a very happy bargain hunter then that's what i'll do!

I let my 2000 corsa go for almost £700 less than its asking price because i found my omega was within the price range of what i got for the corsa, and although it might not have been a bargain, it was a justifiable "straight swap" (in a sense!)

Car has now sold (subject to collection). A great shame that nobody on here wanted it. A real shame.
