Loose change glovebox problem
« on: 17 May 2007, 14:13:23 »

The latest thing to "drop off" our tractor, sorry multi purpose Omega is the spare change /storage area compartment thingy to the right of the steering wheel. It shuts OK and then opens itself as you drive along. I can't see what has changed! The opening shutting mechanism seems fine and the engaging teeth seem fine.

Anyone else have this problem? I may just wire it permanently shut!

You may need ot check the joint to see if it has moved or is loose.  Check also that the mechanism on the latch isnt jammed, might be worth sprasying with a bit of WD40.

Usually if I over fill mine wqith @stuff@ it behaves the same....

When they're open they are very easy to knock with your right knee. They usually misbehave after a few sharp jolts to the right ;)
