Unusual Exhaust Blow?
« on: 23 May 2007, 10:56:37 »

Well finally (now back from holiday) got round to checking wher my exhaust was blowing. I thought it was from the manifold gasket as it was getting louder and sounds a bit tappety, but on closer inspection it has a hole (getting larger)in the pipe that leads from the exhaust manifold to the EGR, in the bit with the bellows effect?? (for lack of a better term) just below the EGR on the top ridge.

Question 1 What metal is this pipe? Steel or alloy etc?

Question 2 is it weldable or scrappy job?

Question 3 How the hell did it go there????
