What symptoms do you have Wayne?

Oxygen or Lambda sensor monitors fuel/air mix after it's passed through the engine.

It can often be a sympton such as an air leak in the air intake or it may be a failed sensor.

Is the EML on all the time?

EML is on all the time it dont idle too well after the choke has cut out and one other thing it had a new exhaust fitted badly from the looks of it as i think its leaking dont know if that would be a factor and tonight i also noticed the airflow sensor is fitted so well it fell off when i touched it  :o ::) will push that back in tommorrow.

thanks in advance for any help / advice.

it may not be the lamda - just because ecu thinks it is...

air intake leaks, and exhaust leaks are possibilities...

Yep, start at the air filter housing and work through to teh inelt manifold checking all pipes and vac hoses as you go...

Remember that a fault code gives little more than an indication of why the ECU is not happy.....it does not always describe the exact component at fault.

Also Check you cables attaching to the lambda sensor when i changed mine over all 4 wires had bare metal wire showing the plastic outer coating had been rubbed away, this would cause a short and show the sensor as not working. If its not that double check the connector i have heard some of the pins in the connector can get pushed back
