Front Suspension
« on: 15 June 2007, 20:19:53 »

The car passed the MOT but with an 'advisory notice' which reads "Both front top mounts have lift"
Does anybody know what this means and what to do about it.
It's a '99 estate with 83000 miles.

Thanks,
Eddie.

I would interpret that as the strut top rubber mounts into the inner wings but no doubt a tester will advise later for sure.....   :y

Basicaly with weight off wheels the whole strut will have slight movement in it up and down where as already said the top suspension mounts are a little worn. So at some point you will need to have them replaced ;)
