3 Pipe Mod
« on: 20 June 2007, 16:31:13 »

Hi,

Been told that a common mod is the 3 pipe mod. Cant find anything about it on the net to do with an omega , but can find stuff about it on a vectra v6.

These are exactly the same engines arent they?

If so how do you do the 3 pipe mod?

Same power plant, different induction system and hence there is no 3 pipe mod on the Omega because on the vectra it involves buggering around with some resonance stubs around the airfilter and filter input pipe.

I have looked at it a few times on the Vectra and to be honest, I wouldn't bother as I cant see how it removes any restrictions.......

Oh right ok.

WOuld i get a noticable increase in torque or power if i drilled the airbox all around?

Or would it make mpg go down?

bear in mind that drilling the airbox will allow hot air back into the engine........

IT will sound good, but i doubt it will aid performance

Cone filters won't do much better either
