Well something on the positive side. :)
He guy from VOSA came this morning, and he wants to put it through a retest :y
He didn’t say the exact reasons why as I guess has to remain impartial, but within a few mins of looking at he wanted to retest it .

Dont want to sound a wet blanket but the VOSA chap is only really interested in two things....  1) Ensuring the vehicle is roadsafe and if not, failing to issue a test certificate and 2) if it fails on something that was obviously present at time of issue of the certificate, to go gunning for the tester/garage that issued it and close them down.

They may prepare papers/statements to assist you persue the seller but thats about it, I'm afraid.

Hope it progresses well.   :y

Well this morning I called thames valley police and informed them of the situation. Told them about the docs going missing at point of exchange, the 2 car pics, the lies in the add, They ware about as much good as giving a fish a bath!
But they handed me onto Lincoln police who were a little more helpful. They have to wait on trading standards, who have to wait for the VOSA result on the VOSA booked retest, which is booked for next week, oh and there paying! lol
Turns out that a vehicle can pass an MOT but not be road worthy according to VOSA and the oldbill. I mean what the phuk is that all about? Makes you wonder what the exactly test for on the MOT.
But if its deemed unroadworthy, which looks very likely, then it becomes criminal!

Basicaly the police dont give a toss is the impression I got!

Re MOT and not roadworthy....

If a headlight does not work car will get a fail cert.  If you remove the headlamp unit in entirety it should pass but will not be legal for road use  Basically, if its fitted it needs to work.  If not fitted, then.....   :-/

PM sent regards remaining comments.....   :y

Just a quick update fellas. The Vecy went for its VOSA mot check today. And before I go further, the MOT that was on the car was only 3 days old when I got it, and it had an advisory on slight exhaust leak on the manifold,  that’s all.

VT30
Refusal of MOT Certificate.
1.      Offside front headlamp to low
2.      exhaust has major leak form manifold
3.      offside rear trailing arm rubber mounting bonding deterioted resulting in excessive movement
4.      offside rear tiebar/rod has excessive play in pin/bush

VT32
Advisory items.
1.      Nearside front brake corroded
2.      Nearside inner CV boot split
3.      Rear metal brake pipes corroded
4.      Oil leaks around engine bay
5.      Fan assembly insecure behind radiator

I guess theres gonna be an MOT staition somewhere up in Lincoln who are gonna be in real trouble.

Now back to the police and trading standards to see what they say! ;)

 :) :) :) :) :) :)YEYEYYEEYEYEYEYE :) :) :) :) :)

After informing the police about todays events Lincoln police are now investigating it as a criminal case!  :y 8-) :y

When VOSA retested it today the MOT tester from Lincoln that issued the pass cert was there, and after the VOSA test they took him off to an official VOSE interview leading to investigation :)

VOSA have deemed it unroadworthy
